Friends and Fotos
Friendship is perhaps one of the most important things in life, or at least in my opinion. One of my greatest passions is getting to know my friends on a deep level, and finding out what makes them who they are. What makes them laugh? What interests them? What makes them curious? In short, what makes them who they are? These are the questions I like to have answered when I enter into a friendship with someone, so that I might get to know them on a deeper level, which allows me to appreciate them that much more.
With a camera in hand, it is possible to capture a moment in time with these people, showcasing who they are and what captures their interests. Capturing friends in their “essence” has always been a passion of mine when it comes to photography. You can discover a lot about a person when you catch them doing what they love, whether it be playing sports, cooking, singing, or even chuckling at a childish joke. These moments in time serve as reminders that we were designed to “do” and “take part in life,” not as bystanders, but as active participants. A genuine smile on someone’s face is worth a thousand words, and being able to capture that is pure magic.
As a photographer, I strive to capture people in their essence, doing what they love. It helps me appreciate who they are as individuals. My encouragement to you is to really get to know your friends, with the use of a camera or without. Get to know what sparks their interest, so that you all can share these unique pastimes with them. Your friendship will be all the better for it.
